چکیده
The present study was aimed to assess the efficacy of individual and combined effects novel fuller earth, rock phosphate, biochar (grapefruit peel) at 1% dosage on maize plant growth, soil chemical properties anduptake toxic metals (TMs), such as Cu, Zn, Fe, Cd, by sown in Korangi (district Karachi, Pakistan) heavily polluted less (K-HP K-LP) soils. obtained results indicate that dry biomass crop increased 14.13% with (FE1% + GBC1%) K-HP 18.24% (FE GBC 1%) K-LP soil. maximum immobilization Cd observed 36% GBC1%, 11.90% FE1%, 98.97% RP1% 51.9% FE1% GBC1% for K-HP, 28.6% 22.22% 57.05% FE After addition proposed substances, modification OM, SOC, TOC, pH level appeared this lead changes phyto-availability plant. It concluded application have potential stabilize pollutants from multi-metal soils safe production.

Effects of particle sizes of rock phosphate on immobilizing heavy metals in lead zinc mine soils
Phosphate-induced immobilization is recognized as one of effective in situ remediation methods for heavy metal contaminated soils. Phosphate-based minerals that adsorb, chelate, or complex heavy metals in soil were greatly concerned as effective heavy metals immobilizing materials. Effects of particle sizes of rock phosphate on immobilizing heavy metals in Pb-Zn mine soils by a greenhouse exper...
متن کاملPhytoremediation of soils polluted by heavy metals using Vetiver grass and Tall Fescue
Phytoremediation is a biological method to improve soils contaminated with heavy metals. The objective of the present research was to study the capability of Vetiver grass and Tall Fescue in refining and reducing pollution of Cd, Cu and Zn from contaminated soils. The research was implemented in greenhouse during two separate tests (Vetiver grass and Tall Fescue) in a completely randomized desi...

15 صفحه اولBacterial Community DNA Extracted from Soils Polluted with Heavy Metals
This paper describes the application of two direct and one indirect methods for the extraction of microbial community DNA from soils polluted with heavy metals. DNA was extracted directly from soil using a gentle method based on soil incubation at 37°C with proteinase K and SDS, or the method was modified by the addition of a bead beating step. The indirect approach was based on the RNA/DNA ext...
متن کاملUse of phytoremediation and biochar to remediate heavy metal polluted soils: a review
Anthropogenic activities are resulting in an increase of the use and extraction of heavy metals. Heavy metals cannot be degraded and hence accumulate in the environment, having the potential to contaminate the food chain. This pollution threatens soil quality, plant survival and human health. The remediation of heavy metals deserves attention, but it is impaired by the cost of these processes. ...
